Banking Dashboard – Market Share Map

Filed under: Dashboard Screenshots — dashboardspy @ 8:44 pm

This banking executive dashboard screenshot shows market share by state. From looking at the map graphic on the dashboard, it is not clear what the various shades of blue mean. Also, I see that the market share KPIs for home loans, refinancing and others are for banks in Alabama, but how is that shown on the map of the US? http://www.xcelsius.com/Examples/swfs/Banking%20Dashboard.swf

Banking Dashboard Market Share by State

Homework: On a banking dashboard project? Study up on marketing metrics and concepts that you may not be familiar with. For example, when a bank talks about market share, it see markets in terms of where they are in these markets – what is the count of its own existing customers and total potential customers. Marketing KPI info can be gleaned from these books on marketing KPIs.

Department Dashboard – another flash-based dashboard (neat animation of gauge)

Filed under: Dashboard Screenshots — dashboardspy @ 7:11 pm

This is another of Solver’s swf dashboards. See it in action at http://www.solverusa.com/im/Department%20Dashboard.swf

The big deal for me in this one is the power of Flash to provide incredible detail to real-life simulation. I’m talking about the action of the gauges in the metrics section. Go to the site and click on the different values in the Location box on the left. Watch the “bounce” of the gauge needles on the right as the values change. Go Flash!! Try that in AJAX.

To complete the set from http://www.netsuite.com/portal/resource/interactive_dash_main.shtml, here is the CFO or Controller role’s view of the Wholesale Distribution enterprise dashboard. Obviously, the focus is now on the financial data. In the KPI portlet, we now have indicators such as Check Promised, Overdue Invoices, Income, Expenses, Profit, Total Bank Balance, Receivables, Payable. And if you look at the Tasks portlet of the enterprise dashboard, you’ll see financial staff tasks such as Create Estimate, New Contracts, Special Orders, etc.
