		<description>I think that microsoft is going to make a big impact on the dashboard scene in 2008. Their product offerings in the business intelligence space (especially for the ms office poweruser crowd) are poised to make desktop dashboarding a reality.

Stay tuned and watch what Redmond does with dashboards next year.</description>

PerformancePoint does NOT rely on the new version of Excel. Whilst the screens are showing some of the new Excel formatting the product is to be fully compatable with Excel 2003.
